Succeeding in your Breastfeeding Journey

Prenatal breastfeeding support

Having your baby is a giant step into the unknown. Everyone expects you to feel confident and happy but what they don’t tell you is how to manage the new emotions you may be feeling, the normal doubts and fears that come with this new stage in your life.

I offer a private prenatal workshop at your home to help you be confident and ready for the big day.
Preparation is a key for a positive birth and breastfeeding experiences.

The prenatal course will cover everything a mother should know for a successful breastfeeding start like:

  • Importance of the first feed.
  • Optimal latch and positions.
  • How to know if the baby is getting enough.
  • Importance of massage and hand expressions.
  • What to expect in terms of feeding /sleep patterns.

Postnatal support – Home visit

Breast milk comes naturally but finding the proper position and latch can be tricky, especially in an over-medicalized care society. Breastfeeding is not supposed to be painful even one day. As a certified lactation consultant, I help mothers experiencing breastfeeding problems, such as latching difficulties, painful nursing, low milk production, oversupply, and much more.

As a holistic person, I take time to review the mother and baby health history in order to offer personalized support. I’m convinced that our diet and lifestyle have a considerable impact on the breastfeeding journey.
In short, My practice is primarily focused on providing private, home visits within Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi.

First-time Visit includes:

  • Review of maternal and infant health history, birth, and breastfeeding experience to date.
  • Complete assessment of the baby’s oral function – assessment for tongue tie, lip tie.
  • Observation, assessment, and hands-on assistance while feeding.
  • A personalized and detailed breastfeeding care plan.
  • Weight check for the baby.
  • Review of the mother’s diet and lifestyle in order to provide helpful recommendations.

Bonding with your baby:

As a positive discipline coach, I have a strong knowledge of baby and child brain development.
Parenting start at birth. Therefore, The way we talk to our baby and answer his needs will help to build a self-confident, empathic, and high self-esteem child in the future.“As the psychanalyst Bowlby’s said in his attachment theory: children come into the world biologically pre-programmed to form an attachment with his caregiver (most of the time the mother) because this will help them to survive.”
I mainly focus on having a clean and satiated baby and underestimate the importance of bonding with the baby.
In conclusion, I will guide you to identify your baby first cue, give you information on what is your baby normal behavior,  and best way to bond with him.
